Metal Fabrication

Sprint Material Processing specialises in custom metal fabrication, structural steel and stainless steel work across Perth and Western Australia. Backed by a 20kW fibre laser, 150-tonne CNC press brake and a skilled team with real, practical industry expertise, we create production-ready components engineered to your requirements, on spec and on schedule.

Full-Service Metal Fabrication Under One Roof

Sprint MP manages cutting, pressing and fabrication in-house, laser cutting, CNC bending, MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding, machining, finishing and powder coating, so clients get one point of contact instead of coordinating multiple suppliers. Our boilermakers work collaboratively with our engineering team to understand your specification before production starts, resolving fit-up issues early so the finished component performs as intended on site. This is backed by real experience across mining, commercial and infrastructure projects.

Standards & materials

Structural steel assemblies are fabricated to AS/NZS 5131, and all welding is carried out to AS/NZS 1554. Stainless steel fabrication is available in 304 and 316 grade with 2B, N4 or N1 finishes, and we process Hardox and Bisplate wear plate (400–500) for components built for strength and durability in harsh conditions. Every job, from a single prototype to a full production run, is backed by material traceability and quality checks at each stage of production, delivering high quality you can rely on.

Quality

We take pride in getting the detail right. Every fabricated component is tested and checked against the original drawing at each stage of production, not just at final sign-off, and we ensure structural and welded work meets AS/NZS 5131 and AS/NZS 1554. Material traceability and documentation stand behind every job, so what you receive matches what was specified.

02
Flexibility

Sprint MP offers tailored fabrication solutions, catering to one-off custom jobs, architectural and residential projects, and large industrial production runs, all from the same Malaga facility. Independent fabricators, designers and tradespeople can access industrial-grade cutting, bending and welding capability without high minimum quantities, while project managers and procurement teams can scale to full production volumes without changing suppliers, so your project stays on budget and on schedule.

03
Time

Our fibre laser runs automated loading and unloading with unmanned operation during off-shifts, and ongoing investment in innovation, digitalised production control and automated material handling, keeps jobs moving around the clock. Same-day quoting, organised scheduling and workflow efficiency mean components move from drawing to delivery faster, with dependable lead times even on larger structural jobs.

04
output

A 20kW fibre laser and 150-tonne CNC press brake (3,100 mm bending length) give Sprint MP the capacity to cut and fold thicker material accurately and repeatably, engineered to handle Western Australia’s toughest fabrication challenges. That capacity, combined with in-house welding, machining and finishing, means we can take on demanding industrial fabrication work that smaller general workshops can’t process under one roof.

Materials We Work With

Frequently Asked Questions

Metal fabrication is the process of cutting, forming, welding and finishing metal, steel, stainless steel or aluminium, into structural components, brackets, frames and finished parts, from an engineering drawing or specification.

Fabrication builds components by cutting, forming and joining metal, while machining removes material to achieve tight tolerances or specific features. Sprint MP offers both, in-house.

We fabricate mild steel, stainless steel (304 and 316 grade, with 2B, N4 or N1 finishes), aluminium, and wear-resistant plate such as Hardox and Bisplate.

Both. Alongside structural and industrial fabrication, Sprint MP produces custom and architectural work, including gates, balustrade panels and vehicle modification components, plus one-off prototypes and small batches.

Structural fabrication is carried out to AS/NZS 5131 and welding to AS/NZS 1554, with material traceability and documentation on every job.

We offer same-day quoting where possible. Upload your drawings, specifications or a description of the job and our estimating team will respond with pricing and lead time.
